What is PRP?

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is an autologous platelet and fibrin process that utilizes the plasma and platelet portion of your own blood to prepare a product that will be administered to desired areas containing your own concentrated platelets. During a PRP service, platelet rich plasma can be used anywhere on your body to reduce pigment, reduce stretch marks, treat wrinkles and light scarring. The PRP facial stimulates collagen regrowth allowing the area to tighten and regain youthfulness.

How does PRP work?

PRP therapy involves taking a small amount of blood from a patient's arm. The blood will be placed in a centrifuge to separate the blood into red blood cell and PRP components. Lastly the PRP component will be injected back into the patient using a microneedle. Fine lines, wrinkles, and scars can all be improved using PRP therapy. This procedure is not considered to be painful, though a topical numbing cream can be applied if desired. The entire procedure will be done in about 30-40 minutes.

Results of PRP

This treatment provides a gradual increase in volume by helping to stimulate your body's own collagen production. After treatment, patients will often see immediate results, with peak results noticed after up to 6 months. Results from the PRP facial can be enjoyed for up to one year.
