SELANK
ANXIETY PEPTIDE
Peptides have changed the way we think about regenerative medicine and how we optimize health and slow down the aging process. Finding the right provider to lead you to success has never been more important. At PRAMAH, we guide you every step of the way.
Be Your Best; Outperform The Rest
Today, peptides can be used alone or in combination with other peptides (stacks). They have proven to drive up energy, repair injuries, optimize the immune system and increase cognition. We believe in the craft of medicine and the building of relationships. When you succeed, so do we.
WHAT IS SELANK
Selank (TP-7) is a synthetic peptide with a seven amino acids long chain, derived from a naturally occurring peptide the body known as tuftsin.
Tuftsin is known to aid in the immune system as well as the brain, in particular the central nervous system.
After many years of research, in 1990 Russian scientists discovered the anxiety reducing property of a compound similar to tuftsin, now termed Selank. It is widely used in Russia and the Ukraine to treat moderate to severe anxiety disorders.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF SELANK
- Increases regulating the levels of neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin
- Treats and reduces anxiety
- Improve short-term and long-term memory
- Reduce inflammation
- Enhance learning speed
- Reduces the breakdown of enkephalin

HOW DOES SELANK WORK
It is thought that Selank works by affecting the amount of enkephalin in the brain. Enkephalin is a neuropeptide found to have a direct effect on anxiety.
Selank may work in two ways: one by reducing the breakdown of Enkephalin by regulating an enzyme responsible for its breakdown and the second by increasing the production of Enkephalin.
Another interesting fact is that Selank, like Tuftsin reduces inflammation in the body. Unlike Tuftsin, Selank can decrease the expression of IL-6 and balance T helper cells’s production of cytokines. Selank effects the XCL1–XCR1 axis, Il2rg gene expression and C3 gene expression.
HOW IS SELANK SUPPLIED
Selank is compounded by an approved compounding pharmacy and comes in:
- 7.5 mg / ml in a 4 ml nasal spray (each spray = 750 mcg)
- 7.5 mg / ml in a 6 ml nasal spray (each spray = 750 mcg)
- In general, 1 ml = 10 nasal sprays
Note: it is pre-mixed and must be cold shipped / overnight
WHAT IS THE DOSAGE OF SELANK
Selank is supplied in the form of a nasal spray. This is a really desirable forms of administration because it is rapidly absorbed into the body with little to no loss like other methods of administration.
Dosage may depend on the patient response and should be adjusted by your medical provider.
Standard dosing: 750-1000 mcg intranasal daily (often prescribed as 1 nasal spray daily or 1 nasal spray to each nostril daily)
Note: it is pre-mixed and must be cold shipped / overnight
HOW MANY DOSES ARE IN EACH VIAL
Each vial of nasal spray will last a different length of time depending on the dose.
In general, 1 ml = 10 sprays
Selank 4 ml vial = 40 sprays
- 1 spray to 1 nostril daily = 40 days
- 1 spray to each nostril daily = 20 days
Selank 6 ml vial = 60 sprays
- 1 spray to 1 nostril daily = 60 days
- 1 spray to each nostril daily = 30 days
WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS OF SELANK
Unfortunately, there is not a lot of information about the side effects of Selank.
Most studies have not noted any side effects.
The only data available is from patient accounts after taking it, but no concrete data. Some patients reported:
- A failure to experience any differences in mood or anxiety
- itching (possible allergic reaction)
- brain fog and fatigue
